Northwest Paddling Festival – Lake Sammamish State Park (Issaquah, WA)

Northwest Paddling Festival

Join us at the Northwest Paddling Festival on Saturday, May 10th at 10:30am where we will discuss rigging your kayak for fishing (rod holders, fish finders, etc). We will also be discussing the cutthroat trout fishery on Lake Sammamish and Lake Washington.

This is a great chance to demo some of the industries top kayaks and stand up paddle boards. For a $7 wrist band, you can demo until you are content!

*The dry land clinic is free. After the clinic we will be hitting the water on Lake Sammamish to put some of these techniques to work. Those wishing to join us on the water must have a wrist band from the event, bring their own kayak and fishing gear, as well as, possess a current Washington Fishing License.

**Suggested gear to bring is a level wind reel with 18lb lead core line and 50 feet of 10 or 12lb mono leader. Sinking fly line also works and even an inline half ounce sinker above your leader. Lures include Needlefish spoons, Rapalas, Wedding Rings and bait fish patterns if you’re trolling flies.
