Last week I had a chance to talk with ESPN Radio’s The Outdoor Line about a “bucket list trip” down to Portland to fish for sturgeon from a kayak. I met up with 25 plus kayak fisherman for their annual “Sleigh Ride” Meet up. Nearly everyone caught fish. I was told by regulars that the fishing was slow as compared to other days. For me, to chance to catch 6 monster fish from 4 to 6.5 feet in one day is more than I had hoped for.
